THE PIXEL WORSHOPS
The PIXEL photographic workshops are designed to promote the children of communities involved in the preservation of natural heritage; through artistic awakening, image education and awareness of cultural diversity.
Khaimaazrah – Pixel workshop in Mauritania
The photographs displayed in this short film were all made by children from 10 to 15 years old … In September 2012, Jean-François Hellio, photographer, and Laurent Joffrion, director, animated a PIXEL workshop, training the kids in photo reporting within the Banc d’Arguin National Park, in Mauritania.
Dakar Exhibition
Since 2011, six young people from Casamance have participated in PIXEL workshops. They made reports on various themes such as water, agriculture, reforestation, women in society… Until the organization of their first exhibition in Dakar, the capital of Senegal.
